Byrds Radio Recap

Below is the set list from my guest appearance on CIUT's Rock And Roll Radio last Thursday.  The set more or less went in chronological order from early to late 60s, ending with MC&H's Backstage Pass, a disco-y pop number penned by Gene Clark from 1979.  I realize this was a very personal view of the Byrds' career, with subjective inclusions of other bands around in the same place and/or the same time.  Are you infuriated by what you thought were gross omissions?  Pissed that the set was slim on Crosby and heavy on Clark?  Shocked that I included absolutely nothing from Byrdmaniax?  If so, feel free to comment below.

The Byrds - You Showed Me (Preflyte, 1964)
The Leaves - He Was A Friend of Mine
Jackie DeShannon w/ the Byrds - Splendor in the Grass
Fifth Avenue - Bells of Rhythmney
Flamin' Groovies - Feel A Whole Lot Better
The Byrds - Airport Song (Preflyte, 1964)
The Byrds - It Won’t Be Wrong (Turn, Turn, Turn!, 1965)
Love - You I’ll Be Following
Tim Buckley - Song for Janie
The Byrds - So You Wanna Be a Rock’n’Roll Star (Younger Than Yesterday, 1967)

Rose Garden - Til Today
The Index - Eight Miles High
The Byrds - Wild Mountain Thyme (5D, 1966)
The Dillards - He Sang Hymns out of tune
The Byrds - Wasn’t Born to Follow (The Notorious Byrd Brothers, 1968)
Moby Grape - Someday
Gene Clark - I Found You
Spur - Mind Odyssey
West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band - Eighteen is Over the Hill
McGuinn Clark and Hillman - Backstage Pass
